Day 20: Do you have any quarantine goals?

Being trapped at home doesn’t have to be a burden. It can be a time for personal development and an opportunity to work on long delayed projects and goals. What have you always wanted to do but haven’t had the time to do? I’m excited to have all this free time and I don’t intend to waste it. Here are my top 3 goals for while we’re in quarantine:

1.) Finish my e-book

I’m working on an e-book about how to convert a vehicle into a motor home. I finished my bus project about a year ago and I’ve been working on a how-to guide for anyone interested in doing the same. I’m hoping to have the entire e-book written, edited, and published before the quarantine is over.

2.) Learn the Ending Theme from Super Mario World on the piano

I just set up my keyboard and got out all my old sheet music. My roommate even made me a makeshift desk where I can work comfortably. I love the music from the Mario video games and especially the Ending Theme song. It’s a difficult song and I haven’t taken lessons in years, but I intend to learn it before the quarantine is over.

3.) Upload at least 3 tutorial YouTube videos

In addition to my bus project, I’ve been working on a lot of green living and upcycling projects. I really want to learn how to make good quality YouTube videos. I’ve dabbled with Lightworks and iMovie, but I’m still getting the hang of it. My goal is to make and upload at least 3 tutorials before this quarantine is over.

Do you have any goals for while we’re on lockdown?

Finishing a book?

Learning a language?

Practicing an instrument?

Cooking a new dish?

Cleaning out a room?

Mastering a yoga pose?

Some helpful guidelines for accomplishing goals:

1.) Keep it doable – don’t try to do too much

2.) Be specific – clearly define your goal

3.) Put a plan in motion – I’m working out a schedule for my specific goals.

What do you want to accomplish before the quarantine is over?

Good luck and I hope you succeed!
