I’ve tried a lot of different ways to make money on the side, and to be honest, not many of them are worth the effort. The best one I’ve seen so far is website testing through companies like UserTesting. I make on average about $30 – $50 dollars a week. That’s pretty good for a side gig, and it’s also super easy to use. You can go to the website or download the phone app. Personally, I’ve had more success qualifying for tests on the phone app. All you need is a device such as your phone or computer, headphones if you’re using the computer, and a quiet place to work.
The hardest part of this side gig is finding tests that you’re qualified for. Each test has a screener that asks questions ranging anywhere from the type of job you have to how often you use online shopping apps. It’s important to be honest when answering the questions because you could have your account suspended for being misleading. I don’t qualify for most of the screeners I’ve taken, but when I do, I accept the test and then follow the prompts. Each test pays about $10 which is deposited into your PayPal account. So far I’ve made a little over $100.
The tests are designed to get feedback on your experience using various websites and performing electronic tasks. Most of the tests I’ve taken were related to how easy or difficult it was to shop online. You’re supposed to talk out loud the whole time and share your experience using the websites. The tests usually take 10 – 40 minutes which isn’t too bad considering each one pays about $10 dollars. The most difficult part is finding one you can take. I’m going to spend the next couple of months trying to qualify for at least one test per workday. I figured that’ll give me somewhere between $100 – $200 dollars a month to go toward my credit card. This is my favorite online gig so far! I hope you find some success with it.
